Every year students compete for the coveted title of Student Innovator of the Year on BYU campus.
The BYU Student Innovator of the Year Competition, jointly sponsored by the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology and the Marriott School of Management, provides aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to turn their dreams of a successful product or website into reality. On Friday, November 7 from 10 am to 2 pm, teams of student innovators displayed their prototypes to get feedback from students and faculty and went through a preliminary round of judging. The final event for the 2014 competition took place on November 13th in the Varsity Theatre from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, where the top ideas vied for thousands of dollars in prize money to put those ideas out on the market.
